About CirrusPrep

CirrusPrep is a free practice exam for the AWS Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA-C03). It's built and maintained by one person, not a company, and it doesn't ask for an account, a credit card, or your email to use. Start a mock exam from the home page and you're taking it within one click.

The reasoning is simple: the real exam already costs money, and most study material around it does too. A set of well-written practice questions shouldn't be one more thing standing between you and the exam room. So none of it is paywalled — not the questions, not the explanations, not the domain drills.

How scoring stays honest

Every timed mock is graded on the server, against the exact question set you were assigned when you started. The browser never receives an answer key mid-exam — only after you submit. That's also what keeps the leaderboard trustworthy: a score only ever reaches it from a graded attempt, never from anything the browser claims on its own. (You can still fool your own practice run if you really want to — that's your business. What the server won't do is let a fake score onto a public leaderboard.)

Where the questions come from

Every question is written from the public AWS exam guide — the domains, objectives, and weightings AWS itself publishes — never transcribed or reconstructed from a real exam. Each draft goes through an adversarial review pass before a human ever marks it publishable: a second pass whose entire job is to argue that the "correct" answer is actually wrong, on the theory that a plausible-but-wrong answer key is the single fastest way to destroy trust in a practice tool.

As of today there are 300 hand-reviewed questions live, with more published as the review pipeline works through the backlog.

Support

CirrusPrep runs on a small, fixed bill and stays free regardless of whether anyone ever contributes to it. If it helped you study, you can buy me a coffee - never a paywall, just an option.
